Deals Rumor Mill: Dayco, Apple, Western Union

By Benjamin Horney (May 6, 2015, 6:48 PM EDT) -- Auto parts manufacturer Dayco Products LLC has decided to "explore strategic alternatives," The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, including a potential sale that could see Dayco valued at upward of $1 billion, including debt. According to the report, the Michigan-headquartered company has already talked with bankers about helping with a potential sale, although discussions are preliminary. Dayco could also look to recapitalize or go the initial public offering route, the report noted. Potentially interested suitors could include private equity firms or other auto parts makers, the report added....
