DOI Cancels Last Oil, Gas Leases In Mont. Sacred Tribal Area

Law360, New York (January 11, 2017, 2:05 PM EST) -- The Department of the Interior on Tuesday canceled the final two oil and gas leases in a portion of the Lewis and Clark National Forest in Montana considered sacred by the Blackfeet Tribe, saying the initial federal review process was improper.
