NJ Judge Hit With Ethics Charges Over 'Discourteous' Emails

Law360 (July 13, 2018, 6:48 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey municipal court judge has been hit with an ethics complaint accusing her of “discourteous and undignified behavior” in emails to a prosecutor about a pending case and alleging that she later feigned ignorance of them in speaking with defense counsel, who was not copied on the emails.

Camden Municipal Court Chief Judge Christine Jones-Tucker ultimately transferred the matter to another judge based on conflicts with the two attorneys as a result of those emails, according to the complaint filed by the state's Advisory...
