Ex-Siegel Atty Wrongly Rep'd Business Partners: 2nd Circ.

Law360, New York (May 20, 2011, 6:45 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Friday upheld an $810,000 jury award to a man who accused a former Siegel O'Connor Zangari O'Donnell & Beck PC attorney of composing a false affidavit and improperly representing him and a business partner in a contract related to an insurance settlement.

Connecticut attorney Peter Hershman and his former firm were only able to persuade the appeals court that a New York federal court erred in awarding an additional $137,000 in pre-judgment interest.
