Trump Beats $4M Libel Suit Over 'Intemperate' Tweets

Law360, Los Angeles (January 10, 2017, 7:43 PM EST) -- A New York judge on Tuesday dismissed a Republican political strategist’s $4 million defamation suit against President-elect Donald Trump and his former campaign manager, ruling Trump’s “intemperate” tweets saying the woman “begged” for a job were statements of opinion protected by the First Amendment.
