Athletic Scouting Co. Settles Over False Advertising Claims

Law360, New York (June 29, 2017, 6:56 PM EDT) -- New York Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman said Thursday that National Scouting Report Inc. has agreed to pay more than $20,000 and to change its advertising, sales and training practices after an investigation found the high school athletic scouting and college recruiting business deceptively advertised.

An investigation from the New York Attorney General’s Office found that Alabama-based NSR made false claims on its website and through advertisements about the past success of its programs and the extent of the services it offers to parents and students....
