Law360, New York (March 9, 2012, 3:40 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Thursday ordered arbitration between Qwest Communications International Inc. and a proposed class of plaintiffs who allege the company charged a $200 fee to Internet service subscribers who canceled before the end of their contracts.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Craig B. Shaffer granted the motion to force arbitration filed by Qwest, which merged with CenturyLink Inc. in 2010, saying the plaintiffs failed to prove an arbitration clause in their service contracts should be waived.
