FAA Drone Rules Must Cover Privacy Concerns, DC Circ. Told

Law360, New York (September 29, 2015, 4:28 PM EDT) -- The Federal Aviation Administration has ignored a congressional order by refusing to address privacy concerns in commercial drone rules that the agency handed down earlier this year, the Electronic Privacy Information Center told the D.C. Circuit on Monday.

EPIC said that the FAA shot down its petition for a notice and comment rule-making on how the drone regulations would impact privacy and civil liberties even though the agency had previously acknowledged that those issues will become a increasing source of concern as the proliferation of drones continues.
