Davis Polk, Mayer Brown Rep Goldman's $500M Data Biz Bet

Law360 (October 20, 2020, 6:06 PM EDT) -- Goldman Sachs Merchant Banking Division said Tuesday it is committing up to $500 million to form a data center platform with guidance from Davis Polk and Mayer Brown.

The platform, dubbed Global Compute Infrastructure LP, will acquire and develop data facilities that can serve large technology customers, the announcement said. Global Compute will have a broad geographic range and plans to consider investments in North America, Europe, Latin America and the Asia-Pacific regions, the announcement said.
