Allied Partners, Brickman Pay $250M For NYC's Brill Building

Law360, New York (June 12, 2013, 7:53 PM EDT) -- Real estate investor Eric Hadar of Allied Partners Inc. and private equity firm The Brickman Group Ltd. have purchased New York City's Brill Building at 1619 Broadway for nearly $250 million from Merchants Hospitality Inc., another Hadar-owned firm, the parties announced Wednesday.

The building at the corner of Broadway and 49th Street is known for having been home to various iconic songwriters, including Neil Diamond and Paul Simon, and artists including Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese.
