J&J Faces Start Of Latest Asbestos-In-Talc Trial In Calif.

Law360, Los Angeles (May 29, 2018, 11:00 PM EDT) -- Asbestos in Johnson & Johnson’s talcum powder caused a 94-year-old woman’s fatal mesothelioma, the woman’s attorney told a California jury Tuesday during opening statements in the latest trial over the alleged link between J&J’s products and asbestos, while the company countered that the woman’s disease was caused by her smoking asbestos-laden cigarettes.
