New Philly Mass Tort Program Created For Pelvic Mesh Suits

Law360, Philadelphia (February 19, 2014, 2:17 PM EST) -- A new mass tort program has been created in the Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas to coordinate discovery efforts in a slew of product liability cases over alleged injuries sustained from pelvic mesh implants manufactured by defendants including Johnson & Johnson and C.R. Bard Inc.

Judge Arnold New, the coordinating judge in Philadelphia's Complex Litigation Center, inked an order last Tuesday requiring consolidation of all suits stemming from alleged vaginal mesh injuries as part of the court's new mass tort program.
