Audi Accused Of Using Emissions Defeat Devices

Law360, New York (November 9, 2016, 3:33 PM EST) -- Audi AG was sued on Tuesday over alleged emissions-test-defeating mechanisms in its 3.0-liter gasoline engines, separate from the diesel engines that have already been the subject of such great controversy.

The lead plaintiff in the putative class action, Elliott Stokar, says his 2007 Audi A8 included a way to cheat emissions tests, unbeknownst to him and that Audi continued installing the defeat device in the gas engines for many months after the diesel scandal came to light.
