Cellini Won't Testify In Blagojevich Extortion Trial

Law360, Chicago (October 21, 2011, 8:00 PM EDT) -- Businessman William Cellini will not testify in his own defense on charges that he participated in a plot to hold up a real estate investment allocation in exchange for campaign cash for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, Cellini's lawyer said Friday.

Near the end of the first day of defense witness testimony, Dan Webb of Winston & Strawn LLP told U.S. District Judge James Zagel that Cellini would not be taking the stand at his own trial, a move Webb previously said his client was considering....
