House Panel OKs Limit On Fannie, Freddie Execs' Pay

Law360, New York (November 15, 2011, 4:59 PM EST) -- The House Financial Services Committee on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a bill that would reduce compensation for top executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the wake of the federal government's bailout of the mortgage giants.

The committee voted 52-4 to send the bill, which aligns the compensation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac executives with that of federal employees, to the U.S. House of Representatives floor.
