Calif. Court To Weigh Whether Ballot Process Trumps CEQA

Law360, San Diego (February 14, 2013, 6:29 PM EST) -- The California Supreme Court on Wednesday agreed to take up a dispute over Wal-Mart Stores Inc.’s planned expansion of its store in Sonora, Calif., to determine whether public agencies can use a ballot initiative process to sidestep environmental review of development projects.
