MaxMara Escapes Prada Suit Over Hawaii Boutique Lease

Law360, New York (April 9, 2013, 1:53 PM EDT) -- Fashion label Prada USA Corp. can't sue Italian fashion house MaxMara for allegedly reneging on a deal to hand over store space in an upscale Hawaii shopping district, a New York state judge ruled Tuesday, saying emails between the rivals did not constitute a lease assignment agreement.
