$135M Nashville Hotel Nixed For Lack Of Public Funds

Law360, New York (January 3, 2014, 7:01 PM EST) -- A Swerdling & Associates-led joint venture has decided to step away from a proposed $135 million Hyatt Regency hotel project in Nashville after negotiations with the city failed to result in enough public funds to support the project, the developer confirmed to Law360 on Friday.

The development team has allowed contracts for purchase options on the land in downtown Nashville to expire and will not pursue the project, Bob Swerdling, head of the Denver-based Swerdling & Associates, told Law360.
