NJ Trio Ran Bogus Foreclosure Services Cos., State Says
Law360, New York (December 2, 2016, 9:11 PM EST) -- New Jersey has filed a civil lawsuit accusing three New Jersey residents of operating rogue companies that defrauded financially strapped consumers who paid them for mortgage foreclosure rescue services but never received them, state Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino announced Friday.
Marcus A. Mullings Jr. and Talia Stephen-Mullings, both of Fort Lee, and Jessie Sanders, of West Orange, charged substantial monthly fees of up to $1,625 for debt adjustment, foreclosure consulting and other services through their company, MVP Home Solutions LLC, and its associated entities, Porrino said.
