EEOC Slams Dollar General's Renewed Bid For Hiring Data

Law360, New York (June 4, 2015, 4:43 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission on Wednesday urged an Illinois federal court to move discovery forward in its suit over Dollar General’s criminal background check policy, saying the court should reject the retailer’s “repetitive” bid for data on the EEOC’s own background checks.

The agency’s opposition brief said the court should reject Dollar General’s motion for reconsideration of a May 5 opinion and order that declined to force the EEOC to fork over information about the agency’s use of background check and criminal history records...
