Target To Pay Visa Issuers Up To $67M Over Data Breach

Law360, New York (August 18, 2015, 1:23 PM EDT) -- Visa Inc. and Target Corp. said Tuesday they have reached an agreement that could reportedly be worth as much as $67 million to reimburse card issuers for costs of the historic data breach that hit the retailer in 2013.

Target said that the agreement is conditioned on a subset of card issuers, representing the majority of the Visa cards that Visa determined were at risk from the breach, having entered into direct settlements with the companies.
