Amazon Can’t Escape Class Action Over Background Checks

Law360, Chicago (October 7, 2015, 5:56 PM EDT) -- An Illinois federal judge on Wednesday refused to let Amazon off the hook for allegations that the company fails to inform rejected applicants of poor marks on their background checks, though the judge expressed skepticism that the class action would go much further, as the lead plaintiff remains vulnerable to being “picked off” by the online retailer.
