Sephora Says Palmer Reifler Is Liable For Shoplifting Suit

Law360, New York (December 16, 2015, 12:49 PM EST) -- Sephora slapped Palmer Reifler & Associates PA with a lawsuit Tuesday in California federal court demanding reimbursement for a proposed class action arising out of the firm’s agreement to represent the cosmetics retailer in pursuing damages for shoplifting.

Sephora USA Inc. said it hired Palmer Reifler to pursue damages and civil penalties for theft offenses such as shoplifting and that their agreement requires the firm to indemnify Sephora for any suits arising from its negligence or improper conduct.
