Carlyle Fights To Nix Experts In PE Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (August 20, 2014, 6:19 PM EDT) -- The Carlyle Group LP on Wednesday told a Massachusetts federal court that its objections to the plaintiffs' expert testimony in an antitrust suit accusing it of colluding with other private equity firms go far beyond technical concerns.

Earlier in August, Carlyle moved to strike five expert witnesses that the plaintiffs — a proposed class of shareholders of companies bought out by the private equity firms — said they planned to rely upon at a November antitrust trial in the case.
