Bitcoin Exchange Operator Charged In Laundering Probe

Law360, Los Angeles (November 10, 2016, 10:24 PM EST) -- Government prosecutors have arrested another employee of Bitcoin exchange site Coin.mx, which they say was laundering money for criminals and was owned by a man accused of orchestrating a massive cyberattack on JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Prosecutors say Coin.mx was allegedly laundering money for criminals that it ran through a credit union and a fake front company. Florida man Ricardo Hill, who served as Coin.mx’s marketing manager and business development coordinator, was arrested on Nov. 2.
