Schulte Roth Withdraws As Patriarch's Counsel In Zohar Suit

Law360, New York (December 20, 2016, 7:08 PM EST) -- Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP told a New York federal judge Tuesday that it will no longer represent Lynn Tilton’s Patriarch Partners in a breach of contract case against investment funds previously managed by Patriarch, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

Patriarch Partners sued the Zohar funds in June for breach of contract after they ditched Patriarch as administrative agent and went with restructuring firm Alvarez & Marsal Zohar Management LLC. On Tuesday, Schulte Roth told U.S. Magistrate Judge Gabriel W. Gorenstein that it would withdraw from the case, leaving Gibson Dunn as Patriarch Partners’ sole counsel in the case.
