Brand Battles: Adidas Fights J. Crew Over Striped Trademark

Adidas has picked its latest three-stripe target: J.Crew.

The German sneaker giant has already filed 16 TTAB cases this year over its so-called three-stripe mark — a broad package of claimed trademark rights that covers both stripes used as an aspect of apparel and the use of stripes on logos.
