Wash. State House Committee OKs Tribal Sports Betting Bill

By Zachary Zagger (January 30, 2020, 8:58 PM EST) -- Washington state lawmakers on Thursday pushed forward a bill to allow sports betting at the state's tribal casinos, looking to become the latest state to legalize the activity, though it would fall short of allowing online and mobile betting that has proved to be dominant in other states.

The Washington House Commerce and Gaming Committee voted H.B. 2638 to allow sports betting at the state's 29 tribal casinos out of committee with a do pass recommendation for the rules committee to send it to the House floor.
