NFL Security Personnel Say They Were Fired For Their Age

By Rick Archer (April 17, 2018, 5:46 PM EDT) -- The National Football League was hit with a suit in New York federal court on Monday accusing it of only firing security personnel older than 60 during a round of terminations initiated by a new chief of security last year.

The nine former league security representatives — who said they represented 75 percent of the employees over 60 in their position — claimed the NFL used the excuse of "moving in a different direction" to fire them for their age and replace them with younger candidates who lacked some or all of their qualifications.
