Killer Ex-NFLer Sues Jail Telecom Co. After Phone Call Breach

Law360, New York (November 29, 2016, 7:54 PM EST) -- Killer ex-New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez is suing jailhouse telecom provider Securus Technologies Inc. in Massachusetts federal court, saying it allowed a leak of 70 million phone calls, likely including confidential recorded conversations between Hernandez and his lawyers.

Hernandez was convicted in April 2015 of the 2013 shooting death of a friend in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. He is now facing trial again for a separate, 2012 fatal drive-by shooting of two men after a nightclub confrontation in Boston's South End; authorities say Hernandez believed that one of the men disrespected him by spilling a drink on him.
