Man U Striker Wins Doping Defamation Suit Against Ex-Coach

Law360, New York (January 10, 2017, 7:24 PM EST) -- The former head coach of Sweden’s athletics team was found guilty on Monday of defaming Manchester United soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic after he suggested that the star striker had used performance-enhancing substances.

Ibrahimovic won his aggravated libel suit against Ulf Karlsson, who suggested in a panel talk that the 35-year-old player must have doped from 2001 to 2004 with the Juventus football club in Italy because he bulked up suspiciously quickly during his time with the team.
