Ex-PSU Boss's Reporting Failure Enabled Sandusky, Jury Told

By Matt Fair (March 21, 2017, 8:50 PM EDT) -- Ex-Penn State University president Graham Spanier went to trial in Harrisburg on Tuesday facing arguments that his failure to report a suspected child abuse incident involving Jerry Sandusky more than 15 years ago had allowed the former coach and now-convicted child molester to continue victimizing young boys.

Spanier is facing child endangerment and conspiracy charges from state prosecutors over allegations that he failed to take action after a report from a graduate assistant in February 2001 who said he walked in on Sandusky molesting a young boy in a university locker room.
