Jurors Start Mulling Ex-PSU Boss's Child Endangerment Case

By Matt Fair (March 23, 2017, 10:13 PM EDT) -- A jury began deliberations Thursday over whether ex-Penn State University president Graham Spanier conspired to endanger children by agreeing not to tell child welfare authorities about a school employee's claim that he saw now-convicted sex offender Jerry Sandusky showering with a young boy in a campus locker room.

Deliberations began in the afternoon following closing arguments from Spanier's defense counsel criticizing prosecutors for what he said was an attempt to criminalize an honest effort at the time by university administrators — two of whom have pled guilty in the case — to craft an appropriate response to the February 2001 report....
