NASCAR Team, Pit Crew Member Settle Wrongful Firing Suit

By Adam Rhodes (November 1, 2017, 3:40 PM EDT) -- Michael Waltrip Racing and a former pit crew member suing the NASCAR team in North Carolina state court over his alleged wrongful termination have settled their dispute, the former tire changer's attorney told Law360 on Wednesday.

Brandon Hopkins sued the now-shuttered team and its former general manager, Ty Norris, in January 2015 alleging that he was fired because of a shoulder injury he sustained after being hit by the No. 15 car during a race in October 2013.
