Ex-Gambling Co. Founder Says Pa. Court Can't Hear Tax Row

Law360, New York (January 9, 2017, 7:51 PM EST) -- The former owner of one of the world's largest foreign gambling companies on Friday asked a Pennsylvania federal court to toss a $56.5 million Internal Revenue Service lawsuit against him, saying that it was brought in the wrong jurisdiction.

BetOnSports PLC ex-owner Gary Kaplan argued that the fact that the case underlying the IRS’ unpaid taxes suit was filed in Pennsylvania does not make it the proper venue for the IRS’ third-party claim.
