Report Finds Similar Internet Use By Rural And Urban Users

Law360, Washington (March 12, 2018, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Internet usage and online commercial behavior in the United States is largely similar between rural and urban consumers, despite higher levels of broadband access in cities and suburbs, according to a recent report from communications consultancy iGR Inc.

According to Thursday's report, which examines the importance of online transactions to rural and urban consumers, internet-driven transactions in 2017 accounted for roughly $9.6 trillion, with $1.4 trillion — or just under 15 percent — of those transactions occurring in rural areas.
