CCA Challenges AT&T's FiberTower Spectrum Acquisition

Law360 (March 13, 2018, 4:37 PM EDT) -- The Competitive Carriers Association announced on Monday that it has filed a challenge to AT&T’s acquisition of fifth-generation-primed spectrum after the Federal Communications Commission last month approved the company’s takeover of FiberTower Corp. and its holdings.

The industry advocacy group said in an announcement on Monday that the deal, which let AT&T Mobility Spectrum LLC acquire FiberTower and its millimeter-wave spectrum licenses, essentially gives AT&T an unfair advantage in the emerging 5G market.
