Apple Beats Uniloc's Bid To View Entire iOS Source Code

Law360 (April 30, 2018, 9:51 PM EDT) -- Apple doesn't have to hand over the entire source code to iOS or the Apple watch's equivalent, a California federal judge ruled Monday in Uniloc's patent suit against the tech giant, because the claims relate “solely” to a patent for a step counter.

Although Apple Inc. has already provided the code for a feature called “Flights Climbed,” Uniloc USA Inc. asked for the tech giant’s entire source code so that its expert could testify as to how the tech giant’s products work.
