Proper Funding Can Boost NASA Tech Innovation, Reps. Hear

Law360, New York (July 12, 2012, 9:55 PM EDT) -- Representatives for NASA and its contractors urged a House panel Thursday to support steady funding for the agency's technology, saying NASA is uniquely positioned to take risks on advanced projects that can spur economic growth and increase U.S. competitiveness.

NASA-funded technology continues to spur commercial innovation, particularly in cutting-edge energy projects, but inconsistent funding and failure to take projects through to production can derail promising advances, witnesses told the House subcommittee on space and aeronautics.
