Va., chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, wrote a letter to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers imploring ICANN to implement safeguards and protections in its program to greatly expand the number of generic top-level domains. It seems highly unlikely, however, that such a letter will have any effect on the new program....
