Acacia Unit Settles Copier Patent Claims With Toshiba

Law360 (August 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- International Printer Corp., a subsidiary of California patent-holding company Acacia Research Corp., has asked the court to dismiss another defendant in its patent dispute over technology for printers, copiers and fax machines.

In a joint motion filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, International Printer and Toshiba Corp. said they had settled the matter amicably and asked the court to dismiss with prejudice all claims pending between them.
