Broadcasters Ask FCC To Make Post-Auction Deadline Flexible

Law360, New York (March 7, 2017, 3:25 PM EST) -- The National Association of Broadcasters has urged the Federal Communications Commission to make its timeline for repacking broadcasters after the incentive auction flexible, saying viewers could be at risk of losing service.

The auction began last March and involves TV broadcasters voluntarily relinquishing their spectrum licenses in exchange for payments generated from the FCC auctioning off those licenses for use in wireless broadband.
