After Comcast Letter, Philly Mayor To Delay On Wage Bill

Law360, Philadelphia (January 10, 2017, 2:58 PM EST) -- Philadelphia’s mayor will delay signing a measure that would make it illegal for employers to inquire about a potential employee’s salary history in response to a letter purportedly sent to the city by Comcast Corp. that questioned its constitutionality, a spokesman said Tuesday.

Mayor Jim Kenney said he still stood behind the wage equality ordinance, which passed City Council by a 16 to 0 vote in December.
