Deals Rumor Mill: Arris, Dick Clark Productions, Aramco

By Benjamin Horney (February 22, 2017, 5:29 PM EST) -- Telecommunications equipment manufacturer Arris International PLC is on the verge of sealing a roughly $1 billion deal to acquire a networking equipment business being sold by Brocade Communications Systems Inc., Reuters reported on Wednesday. According to the report, an official announcement is imminent, although it is still possible negotiations fall apart. The business changing hands offers high-end wireless broadband devices to customers. Previous reports have noted that a sale of the unit would ensure that Broadcom Ltd., which bought Brocade in November, does not own a business that competes with its own clients, including Cisco Systems Inc....
