Deals Rumor Mill: Williams Cos., Repsol, Towers Watson

By Benjamin Horney (September 24, 2015, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The board of directors of The Williams Cos. will meet as soon as later this week to discuss selling the company to fellow oil and gas pipeline company Energy Transfer Equity LP, Reuters reported late Wednesday afternoon. According to the report, Dallas-based Energy Transfer Equity recently revised its offer, currently worth about $34 billion, so that some the bid would be a combination of stock and cash. Williams initially rejected the takeover attempt, but according to the report the company's board is now considering an about-face....
