Executive Action Suit Pause Sought Until Trump Inauguration

Law360, New York (November 18, 2016, 8:05 PM EST) -- A case in Texas challenging President Barack Obama's executive actions on immigration should be halted until after President-elect Donald Trump is inaugurated, 26 states and the federal government said on Thursday.

The parties asked a Texas federal court for permission to pause the suit, in which the states seek to undo two executive actions, until Feb. 20 — exactly one month after Trump is slated to take office.
