Texas Panel Backs Expert In Newborn Brain Damage Suit

Law360, Houston (August 17, 2017, 6:05 PM EDT) -- A Texas appellate court on Thursday determined two doctors will have to face medical negligence claims brought by a mother whose son was born with brain damage, holding an expert's report sufficiently linked their conduct to the alleged injury.

Texas' First Court of Appeals sided with the trial court in holding that doctors Mahta Rouhani and Adrienne Legendre must face a lawsuit brought by Diondria Morgan, who alleges their negligence caused her son to suffer brain damage precipitated by a lack of oxygen.
