Two More Navy Officers Plead Guilty Over Bribery Scheme

Law360 (March 8, 2018, 4:18 PM EST) -- Two U.S. Navy officers have pled guilty in military court to charges related to a bribery scheme involving lucrative federal contracts for in-port services, joining nearly two dozen other current and former officers who have copped to participating in the scheme.

Cmdr. Jason Starmer and Capt. John Steinberger both pled guilty Tuesday, in separate court martial hearings, to charges of dereliction of duty related to the “Fat Leonard” bribery scheme, with Starmer also pleading guilty to adultery and solicitation of a prostitute and Steinberger pleading guilty...
