Defense Analyst Charged With Leaking China Weapons Info
Law360 (October 9, 2019, 4:19 PM EDT) -- A counterterrorism analyst at the Defense Intelligence Agency was arrested Wednesday on charges of disclosing information from a top secret report on China’s military capabilities to journalists at CNBC and NBC.
Henry Kyle Frese started as a contractor at the DIA in early 2017 and was hired as an employee last year. The indictment accuses him of leaking information about a foreign country’s weapons system to two journalists in 2018 and 2019. The indictment does not name the journalists, their news outlets or the country mentioned in the intelligence.
