Career DOJ Atty Joins Compliance Co. In Boston

By Al Barbarino (May 20, 2022, 4:43 PM EDT) -- During his 20 years as a prosecutor at the U.S. Department of Justice, Scott Garland says he savored the moments when he got justice for victims by bringing down the people who harmed them.

But as he investigated, prosecuted and supervised hundreds of criminal matters over the course of his DOJ career, he always wished the "bad things had never happened" in the first place, Garland said in an interview Friday.

That's a key reason Garland says he has joined Affiliated Monitors Inc., or AMI, which announced his hiring on Tuesday.
